In a previous life I think that I was a domestic goddess. Okay, actually my sister-in-law was the domestic goddess, and I was friends with her then as I am now.

Either way, this year we made some kick-ass holiday conserve (see picture above) and mango chutney. Before I met her, I had never canned before, never made homemade Indian food, never fried up latkes, never rolled my own Korean spring rolls or sushi, etc. etc. etc. SAL has opened my eyes to the art of making things to eat, and I will forever be in her debt. I can't wait to see what other flavors of Leavitt's Lark come off the canning line!
